2016 – McLAREN 650S GEMBALLA GT
Who would pay 33,900 euros to have your car with an additional 20 hp of power? This is what offers one of the German coaches in the most famous super sports, which has just presented the McLaren 650S Gemballa GT, developed on the basis of the British supercar. This latest creation of Gemballa has aesthetic modifications that mainly affect the rear and reveals an engine powered from 650 to 670 hp.Only by the increase of power of the McLaren 650S, that also presents a slight increase of torque, the Gemballa charges 33,900 euros, that is, leaves practically 1,700 euros per cv gain. An absurd price, no doubt, but that is not so much if we take into account that the McLaren 650S is a supersport that costs in Germany from 238,000 euros in the case of the coupe and 262,395 euros in the case of the convertible, which represents ‘only’ 14% of its value. But the improvements offered to the McLaren 650S are not limited to the 3.8 V8 biturbo engine, the model also has a number of specific aesthetic elements. Among them, the new rear bumper, which integrates a large diffuser, which according to Gemballa, increases the aerodynamic load at the rear. The McLaren 650S Gemballa GT is also equipped with attractive GForged alloy wheels, manufactured by Gemballa itself, with 20-inch diameters on the front axle and 21-inch diameters on the rear axle. For the wheels to fit in the arches, it was necessary to modify the mudguards, which now leave more free space and are made of carbon fiber.
2016 – McLAREN 650S GT3
McLaren has been betting heavily on auto racing lately. During last season got good results and wants that in 2016 these continue. For this, it presents its new weapon, the McLaren 650S GT3 2016, which is an evolution of the previous race model presented in 2015. It will be shown to the public next March with the opening of the Geneva Motor Show.Aesthetically the changes were not significant. The aerodynamic part was improved with the addition of appendages underneath the headlights and also modifying the air intakes on the side, specifically behind the front axle. It continues to comply with the FIA standard for the GT3, and therefore maintains the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that comes coupled with a six-speed sequential transmission. The power comes close to 500 hp as dictated by the standard. Sufficient for a vehicle that weighs 1,240 kg, which is the minimum allowed. Although the British manufacturer’s idea is to continue selling the car to private teams, it also announces its official drivers: Rob Bell and Álvaro Parente, McLaren GT drivers since 2012, have been renewed. Now they join the French Côme Ledogar. The three riders will compete in the Blancpain Endurance Series and Blancpain Sprint Series. There is also news at the McLaren GT Driver Academy. This pilot-training academy has graduated Colin Thompson, a 21-year-old who will join his team-mates Alex Fontana, Struan Moore and Andrew Watson. The young promises will compete with two cars in the Pirelli World Challenge.

Japanese trainer Liberty Walk presented his latest work. This time around the McLaren 650S, the company hopes to offer owners of the British supersport an interesting alternative for those who find the image of the model too behaved. The McLaren 650S wears a body kit that can change your image from top to bottom. The preparer wants that after the body kit is installed, the image of the car will be closer to the McLaren 650S GT3.The kit consists of a new bumper, a front diffuser and new side skirts that help to balance the fenders that have a more muscular shape. At the rear, a new diffuser and an airfoil are the two elements that most attract attention. This body kit is available in different versions, as it is possible to choose between components manufactured purely in carbon fiber or in other combinations of fiber reinforced plastic, for example. In mechanical terms there is no change, with the McLaren 650S of the images being equipped with a 3.8-liter Twin-Turbo V8 engine that develops a power of 650 hp and 678 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is coupled to a dual-clutch transmission and seven-speed. Thanks to this mechanics, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 333 km / h.The price is really salty. In Europe, the improvement package starts at € 30,500. Liberty Walk is already accepting reservations and intends to make the first deliveries as of September. With the opening of the Dubai Show, McLaren toasted visitors to the show with the world premiere of the 650S Spider Al Sahara 79 by MSO. The exclusive model was developed by the McLaren Special Operations Department – the brand division where products are made to order – and is available only to customers in the Middle East.At first glance, what stands out in the Mclaren is the double tonality of the body, inspired by the already known 650S Spider. The carbon fiber could not be missing and is present in the air intakes, as well as the spoiler and the rear wing, which gives the whole a very aggressive appearance in visual terms. In mechanical terms, the McLaren comes equipped with the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine already tested on the 650S Coupe and the 650S Spider. The performance and economy remain in the 650S Spider Al Sahara 79 by MSO, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3 seconds, reaching a top speed of 329 km /H. The level of CO2 emissions is 275 g / km.
